Description: Formerly a drab corner of the Barton Elementary building, this space gained new life with the addition of a mural that fuses educational symbols such as an atom and microscope with bright colors and linear embellishments.

Dvorak Elementary

Description: Wrapping around the front and side of the school, the mural incorporates a three-dimensional butterfly and caterpillar in its message about hard work and transformation.

Melody Elementary School

Description: Surrounding the school's garden and outdoor learning area, the murals depict the various stages of the agricultural cycle. 

Suder Montessori Elementary School

Description: This mural depicts elements of the Montessori philosophy including nature in the classroom, exploration of the environment, and the role of education in establishing peace.

Chicago Avenue Underpass

Description: Located on the Chicago Avenue underpass between Kedzie and Sacramento Aves, the murals features images of healthy living.
